Stephen C. Baker
Stephen C. Baker has been a civil litigator for over forty years, primarily in the fields of insurance defense, plaintiff personal injury, real estate, and landlord tenant. Over the years, Stephen has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in a variety of civil cases, including matters involving catastrophic injury, wrongful death, injured minors, molestation claims, construction defects, breach of contract, easements, and failures to disclose material facts in real estate transactions. Stephen is a founding partner and has been with the firm since 1995.
Over the years, Stephen has devoted considerable personal time and energy mentoring firm staff members, who have since become attorneys, for their future legal careers, teaching case strategy and planning, deposition strategy, legal writing and argument, and supervising court appearances.
Outside of the office, Stephen is married to Mollie and tries, unsuccessfully, to keep up with two adult children. He is an avid fan of Bay Area sports, including the the San Francisco Giants and the Golden State Warriors, for whom his youngest daughter currently works. Stephen enjoys spending time with his family, swimming, occasionally in open water, hiking, and visiting great art museums.
