Product Liability

We represent people and businesses harmed by defective products, from a single household item that caused an injury to a failure that reached hundreds of claimants. These cases turn on the product itself: how it was designed, made, and brought to market.

Whether a product failed, and why, is frequently an engineering question before it is a legal one, and that is where most of our work begins.

A product case requires proving the defect: showing how a product was designed or built, where it departed from what it should have been, and that the flaw, and not something else, caused the harm. That proof is technical and costly to develop, and it is usually mounted against a manufacturer with considerable resources and experts of its own. We are equipped to take that on.

Our work begins in the product itself. We learn how it was engineered and made, retain the engineers and specialists who can locate and explain the failure, and assemble the testimony and records to prove it. That approach holds whether the harm is a single catastrophic injury or damage spread across a mass tort. The scale changes, the method does not.

The firm brings these cases from its offices in Grass Valley, in state and federal courts throughout California.
