Craig Diamond serves as a private mediator, helping parties and their counsel resolve disputes without the expense and uncertainty of a trial. He comes to the role from four decades of litigation, having represented clients on both sides of the cases he now helps settle.
Most disputes resolve once each side can see what continuing to fight will cost it. A mediator who has spent a career in those fights can help the parties see it sooner.
Craig is a court-approved mediator, having completed the training required to serve on the mediation panels of the California Court of Appeal for the Third District and the Nevada County Superior Court. Over more than forty years he has taken part in dozens of mediations as an advocate and resolved many more from the neutral's chair.
His approach is shaped by having sat on both sides of the table. He knows how each side tends to value a case, where the genuine obstacles to settlement usually lie, and how to move parties past them without pressure.
