Many of our clients are engaged in agriculture and ranching, and this firm can assist them in obtaining licenses and achieving regulatory compliance with the extensive environmental and other governmental regulations that impact their livelihoods.
Members of the firm actually “walk the walk” by expending considerable energy to helping our community, advising a number of local nonprofits as their legal counsel and serving on several boards of directors. One member was the former President and is now on the Board of Directors of Bear Yuba Land Trust, and has served or is currently serving on the boards of the Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Coalition, for whom we provide pro bono counsel, the Gold Country Trails Council, and the Nevada County Digital Media Center. Ms. Cole is also a Commissioner on the Nevada County Historical Landmarks Commission, Co-chair of the League of Women Voters Programs Committee and a member of both the Pines to Mines Trail Planning Group and the Nevada County Biomass Task Force.
Concomitant with Environmental Law is a burgeoning area of law new to California, Cannabis Law. Members of our firm are well versed and able to assist clients as they weave through the regulatory and environmental issues frequently associated with that process.
